As a dedicated student journalist at the University of Central Florida, my passion for storytelling naturally extends into my ambition to work in the music industry. My academic experience has opened the door to career-building opportunities, including serving as an A&R Marketing Intern for LucasFloodPresents in Los Angeles, California. In this role, I pitched and presented artists weekly to executives, delivering detailed trend analysis and market research, while also assisting in booking emerging local talent to perform at The Hotel Cafe.
More recently, as a Contributing Music Journalist for In The Loop Magazine in Chicago, Illinois, I've published articles that spotlight and amplify the city's vibrant music scene. Here, I was able to pitch and develop story concepts that align with publication themes and audience interest.
As a Contributing Music Journalist for In The Loop Magazine in Chicago, my work extends from music reviews and interpretation to concert recaps for digital publication. I pitched original story ideas, researched artists in depth, and consistently worked under deadlines to deliver well-structured content.
As an A&R/Marketing Assistant at LucasFloodPresents in Los Angeles, I worked closely with emerging artists and industry professionals while gaining hands-on experience in artist development and music marketing. My role focused on researching up-and-coming artists, analyzing current music trends, and crafting weekly pitches to executives in order to book the artists a spot to perform at The Hotel Cafe venue.
JaviRadio is a music-focused media platform I created to share my passion for music while building a space where others can follow along and engage with the art on a deeper level. The platform features in-depth album interpretations, artist spotlights, performance pieces, and music-related content that focuses on both creativity and storytelling. My love for the art, along with thorough research allows me to deliver thoughtful interpretations that reflect the way artists intend their work to be experienced by listeners.
As the platform continues to grow, JaviRadio will expand to include audio-recorded interviews with artists and coverage of local music news. Through these interviews, I aim to create a space where artists are able to share and define their own artistic narratives in their own voice, while also giving audiences a deeper understanding of the creative process behind the music.
